Ford Escape: Seating & Cargo Space

The 2021 Ford Escape offers seating for up to five people. It comes standard with cloth upholstery and offers a synthetic or genuine leather upholstery upgrade. For added comfort, heated and power-adjustable front seats, as well as a heated steering wheel are available.

Its spacious seating area gives way to a maximum of 65.4 cubic feet of cargo room when you need to transport larger items. If passengers are on board, you’ll still have access to an optional

37.5 cubic feet of space behind the second row. Back-seat passengers will also be able to enjoy expansive sky views with the available panoramic moonroof.

Technology, Infotainment, & Safety in the 2021 Ford Escape

Tech-wise, the Ford Escape features a standard 6-speaker stereo system and a 4.2-inch display screen, along with Bluetooth® capability and a USB port. Higher trim levels offer a larger 8-inch touch screen display, smartphone integration, a Wi-Fi hot spot, and more. A 10-speaker B&O™ Sound System by Bang & Olufsen is also available for a truly immersive experience on the road.

Additionally, the 2021 Ford Escape comes with an array of standard safety features and offers a variety of intelligent upgrades. A few of these include:

Ford Escape Performance & Capability

In terms of performance, the 2021 Ford Escape provides two powerful engine options, both of which are paired with a smooth 8-speed automatic transmission. The motors include a standard 181-horsepower 1.5L engine that delivers 190 lb-ft of torque and a more potent available 250-horsepower 2.0L engine with 280 lb-ft of torque.

When equipped with the 2.0L engine, along with all-wheel drive, the Ford Escape can tow up to 3,500 pounds. Though its EPA-estimated MPG rating is not yet available, the 2021 Ford Escape will offer a hybrid model to help you achieve optimal efficiency, too.
